Even though those seemed very much like demons as well, but not at the same time. One of them even looked like one of my own from back home, just with a different coloration.

Ah, well, it was Ren's that had an uncanny similiarity to one of mine. Hers - Lapis is her name - bore a slight resemblance to one of mine. Maybe to one of Fushiguro's hounds as well.
Demons run the gamut of all sorts of myths, legends, supernatural creatures, gods, heroes... Perhaps sometime you can ask Amamiya to show you his Jack Frost. It's a different color but otherwise very similar to mine.
